Interested in booking a show at Groove Street?
Here’s the deal…
Groove Street is a listening room for ticketed concerts. It is an acoustically “live” room that works best with low volume amplification.
You can book yourself or your band as a single act, or as part of a showcase. (Two or more acts will usually draw a bigger crowd.)
The front room seats 30-35 people. You set the ticket price. Groove Street has no employees to work the door. A tip jar usually does just fine, but you are welcome to have your own people do the job. You can and should sell your merchandise as well.
The house system is a sixteen-channel mixer with powered mains and monitors. Most of the time, there will be someone available to run sound for you. This is determined when selecting a date.
Groove Street will have cold drinks available at some point in the future. For now, outside food and beverages are allowed. No Alcohol, please.
Groove Street has bills to pay. The goal is to make fifty dollars per event. That doesn’t cover all ongoing expenses, but it helps. The house takes 50% of the first hundred dollars. The performers keep the rest. This way, you don’t end up owing money if a snowstorm kills your show.
